Bulk Editing of Products in Spreadsheet View

Modified on Thu, 21 Aug at 4:52 AM

What’s New?
Managing large product catalogs just got easier! We’re introducing Bulk Editing of Products in Spreadsheet View — a powerful feature that allows merchants to update multiple product attributes at once using a familiar spreadsheet-style interface.
With this update, you can:
  1. Edit Multiple Fields at Once
  • Update product information (titles, descriptions, labels, media, collections, tax codes, etc.).
  • Manage pricing, variants, inventory, shipping, and SEO details all in one place.
  1. Spreadsheet-Like Editing
  • Open selected products in a clean, editable grid view.
  • Click directly into cells to edit, just like a spreadsheet.
  • Mandatory fields (like Title, Pricing Name, Product Type) ensure data accuracy.
  1. Column Customization
  • Choose which columns you want to display/edit using the
    “Columns” selector
    .
  • Selected columns retain their last saved state, making it easier to continue where you left off.
  1. Error Handling
  • Inline error handling with red highlights and tooltips for invalid inputs.
  • Accidental back or exit will be handled
How to Use It?
  1. Go to
    Products
     in your Ecommerce Store.
  2. Select multiple products.
  3. Click
    Bulk Edit
     from the action bar.
  4. A spreadsheet-style view will open with all selected products.
  5. Customize your columns, edit directly in cells, and hit Save when done.
Key Points & Edge Cases to Note:
  • Invalid values will highlight the cell in red and block saving.
  • Clicking away without saving will display an “Unsaved changes” modal.
  • Fields that are not editable will be displayed as a dash (—).
  • Selected columns will retain their last saved state.
  • Price Amount and Title cannot be left blank; saving will be blocked if they are empty.
  • For Agency Plan Products, all fields will be displayed as dashes (non-editable).
  • For the SaaS Plan, only valid fields will be editable; the rest will be displayed as dashes.
  • Numbers with zero precision will emit changes on blur. Fields such as Amount, Compare at Price, Weight, etc. (all with precision: 2), will detect changes immediately.
